Join the SeaCats on a Mission to Hydrate and Inspire!

The Cat-Pirate crew making waves at festivals and beyond, one drop at a time.

A Castaway Chapter of the 10 Rapscallions

Our Pirate Cat-themed camp offers:

  • Free water stations to keep festival-goers refreshed and hydrated.
  • Hydration demos to highlight the importance of clean water and conservation.
  • Squirt-gun dueling competitions to unleash everyone’s inner pirate, with prizes up for grabs.
  • Festival Volunteering: The SeaCats crew dives into the festival’s inner workings, helping out wherever we’re needed to keep things running smoothly and support the event as a whole.
  • Roaming Hydration Stations: Our crew walks the festival grounds with coolers full of free water bottles, making sure no one goes thirsty and spreading the message of hydration everywhere we go.
  • Eco-Friendly Initiatives: To reduce waste, we encourage festival-goers to return their empty water bottles to our camp, where we’ve set up a dedicated recycling bin just for them. It’s our way of keeping the festival clean while caring for the planet.

    Clean Water, Lasting Impact!

    What Your Donations Achieve

Clean Water, Awareness, and Action: How Your Donations Make a Difference

Your donation fuels an impactful mission: providing life-saving clean water to rural African communities while spreading awareness about global water challenges through creative outreach. Each $9,000 well serves approximately 500 people, drastically reducing waterborne diseases like cholera and diarrhea, improving health, and empowering communities with reliable access to clean water.

Your contributions not only help fund the materials, labor, and community training required to build these wells but also support our innovative awareness campaigns. Through festival theme camps, events, and outreach, we connect with diverse audiences to educate, inspire, and grow the movement for sustainable water solutions. By combining direct impact with education, we’re building healthier communities and encouraging more people to join the cause.

    Where Your Donation Goes:

    • Well Construction: Most of the funds go toward drilling, pumps, maintenance training, and sanitation education for communities.
    • Awareness Campaigns: A smaller portion supports our themed festival camps, outreach events, and advertising initiatives to amplify the mission and attract new supporters.

For women and girls, access to clean water means more than convenience—it means safety, education, and opportunities for a better future of no longer spending hours a day taking long dangerous trips for water. With just $18 per person, your donation provides 20 years of clean water while helping us spread awareness and inspire others to take action.

Please note: We are not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit yet, so donations may not be tax-deductible at this time. However, your support directly impacts lives and fuels meaningful change.

    Why Festivals?

Festivals are where the SeaCats truly come alive. They’re buzzing with creativity, connection, and the perfect mix of fun and purpose. For us, festivals are more than just events—they’re opportunities to share our mission, build community, and make a real impact while having a blast. They give us the chance to meet people where they are, spreading hydration and awareness in a way that’s interactive and unforgettable.

    Who Are the SeaCats?

The SeaCats are a wild, cat-inspired pirate crew and a proud “Castaway Chapter” of the 10 Rapscallions Charitable Org. While most chapters stick to local and state-based efforts, Castaways throw the rules overboard and carve their own path. For the SeaCats, that means hitting Flow and Burn festivals, spreading hydration, and bringing joy with our one-of-a-kind circus-style pirate adventures.
We’re just getting started, but our mission is bold:

    • Provide hydration where it’s needed most—from festivals to communities in desert biomes.
    • Create unforgettable experiences with pirate antics, fun competitions, and hydration education.
    • Build a sustainable impact through funding water wells and dreaming of a greener, reforested future.

    Our Vision: Hydrate, Inspire, Grow

The SeaCats don’t just dress up for fun (though we love it); we’re here to make a real difference. Right now, our big goal is installing wells in desert communities with little to no access to clean water. Each well costs $9,000, and we’re aiming to fund at least three every year.

But our dreams don’t stop there. In the future, we hope to use those wells to support re-seeding efforts, helping forests reclaim desert land where the climate has shifted. For now, though, we’re focusing on the first steps: getting water where it’s needed and building a crew ready to make waves.

    The SeaCats Rules

Welcome to the SeaCats, a crew dedicated to creativity, community, and making a positive impact. These rules are the foundation of how we work together, ensuring that every member feels valued, every action has purpose, and every moment is memorable. When challenges arise, lead with empathy, use de-escalation techniques like the ones mentioned, and remember why we’re here.
These rules contain both the original 10 Rapscallions rules as well as SeaCat specific rules.

    Kindness and Consent

Kindness and respect are at the heart of the SeaCats. Treat everyone fairly, seek consent in all interactions, and create a safe environment for everyone.

    Example Challenges:
Challenge: You’re feeling overwhelmed during setup and find yourself snapping at a campmate.
What to Do: Pause and acknowledge your frustration in the moment. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to snap. I’m feeling a bit stressed right now. Let me take a second to collect myself so we can get back on track.”

Challenge: Someone’s humor unintentionally makes another person uncomfortable.
What to Do: Redirect the moment. “I think that joke might’ve landed wrong—let’s keep things light and make sure everyone feels good here.”

Respect the Crew and the Mission

Every SeaCat was chosen for their passion and commitment to our mission. From Captains to Deckhands, everyone’s role is essential, and we thrive when we respect each other’s time, energy, and contributions.

    Example Challenges:

Challenge: A crew member is venting frustrations in a way that feels disruptive.
What to Do: Acknowledge their feelings while setting boundaries. “I can see you’re upset. Let’s step aside and talk about it so we don’t disrupt the group.”

Challenge: You notice someone frequently missing camp responsibilities.
What to Do: Approach them privately. “Hey, I’ve noticed you’ve been stepping back a bit. Is everything okay? How can we support you?”

    Protect and Represent Our Symbols

The 10 Rapscallions SeaCats’ symbols—our Not-So-Jolly Roger, armbands, flags, and shirts—are reminders of our mission to protect the Earth, aid others, and create safe spaces. Wear and display them with pride and responsibility.

    Example Challenges:
Challenge: Someone asks to borrow the SeaCats flag for an unrelated event.
What to Do: Set expectations. “Our flag represents our mission. You’re welcome to invite us to the event, but we keep it for uses specific to our cause.”

Challenge: You hear criticism about the crew while wearing SeaCats gear.
What to Do: “I’m sorry you feel that way. We’re all about making a positive impact—what can we do better?”

Leave No Trace and Stay Eco-Friendly

The SeaCats follow burner principles: Leave no trace and reduce waste. Keep the camp clean, recycle responsibly, and be mindful of our environmental impact.

    Example Challenges:
Challenge: Trash builds up at the fire pit.
What to Do: “I’ll grab a bag and clean this up so we stay on top of it.”

Challenge: Festival-goers leave empty water bottles on the ground.
What to Do: “Hey, When you are done with the water, bring your bottles back to our camp—we will recycle them for you!”

    Support the Camp and Festival

Our camp is part of a larger festival community. Contribute to the camp’s success and volunteer to support the event as a whole.

    Examples:
Help with setup, maintenance, and running camp activities.
Volunteer within the festival’s inner workings—hydration stations, gate support, etc.
Walk the grounds handing out free water, reminding people to hydrate and return empty bottles to our recycling bin.

    Radical Self-Reliance and Participation

Be prepared to take care of yourself while actively contributing to the camp. Bring what you need to thrive and dive into group activities. Your participation keeps the SeaCats vibrant and strong.

    Examples:
Bring your essentials (water, snacks, gear) and extras to share if possible.
Volunteer for tasks like setup, hydration stations, or cooking.
When in doubt, try something new: “Why not? I’ll give it a shot!”

    Radical Inclusion and Self-Expression

The SeaCats celebrate diversity, individuality, and creativity. Express yourself authentically and welcome others into the fold with open arms.

    Example Challenges:
Challenge: Someone seems hesitant to join a group activity.
What to Do: “Hey, we’re about to do a hydration demo—want to join us?”

Challenge: You feel nervous about trying something new.
What to Do: think this… “I’ll give it a go! What’s the best that can happen?”
